For the past half century, I have been collecting cruets and discovering the magnificent beauty of art glass. The late 19th and early 20th centuries were indeed a golden age for art glass production, with the United States, Great Britain, and various European countries playing significant roles in its development. The rich history of art glass spans millennia, encompassing a wealth of innovations, cultural influences, and technological advancements that have shaped this cherished medium. Art glass has remained a symbol of human creativity, ingenuity, and craftsmanship, serving both utilitarian and aesthetic purposes across cultures and civilizations. Cruets and tableware were very popular during mid-1800s to early 1900s and are highly collectible. They were made from types of glass, porcelain, lead crystal, and silver. Art Glass tableware comes in varying colors reflecting nature’s palette. Thousands of different distinctive glass patterns, shapes and colors have been made. This makes it difficult to identify many cruets in my collection. I am reaching out to the viewers of this site to help me identify them.
